Pua (n.); Hawaiian for 'flower'

Hi there! I'm Megan and I'm so glad you're here. I started this small floral business after DIYing my own wedding flowers. I not only had a blast doing it but received a lot of great feedback on my eye for color and arrangements.

My husband for months has encouraged me to pursue this little dream, starting with classes through Portland's Floral Design Institute, and now to starting a floral design business. Without him, Pretty Pua Florals might not exist! 

Pretty Pua Florals is an homage to my Hawaiian heritage and Hawaiian name, Kananionapua, meaning "the beautiful flower." In Hawaiian culture, it's believed the name given to you at birth is an indicator of who you will become in life. I think I'm living up to mine quite well!

I absolutely love anything flowers--on sundresses, grown around the home, or on the dining table. I describe my style as a little old-school and a little groovy, with plenty of color always.
